The perfect way to warm up from the inside out on a cold winter’s night. No wonder it is called hot and spicy ”glow wine”. I have tried out a few recipes and came up with my own easy and favorite Urban Simplicity, sugar free-er version to share.
Serves 6 – 8
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
1 bottle good quality red wine
1/2 cup xylitol (or to taste)
1 cup fresh orange juice
1 orange sliced (with skin)
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 teaspoon mixed spice
1/2 cup water (or sherry optional)
Method:
Combine all ingredients in a pot and simmer for 20 minutes. Do not boil.
Serve warm with a slice of fresh orange or cinnamon stick.
